This is one piece of felt. It began with a white silk base upon which I placed various pieces of silk material, ribbon, mulberry silk and Angelina fiber. As I lay out the piece, I take care to make sure all the edges are finished with a border. I apply fine merino wool on top of the silk pieces and the felting process forces the wool through all the layers and holds everything together. After the felting process I dye the piece and the different colors and fabrics all take the dyes differently giving the fabric a one-of-a-kind color palette. A snap is sewn to hold the cape together at the bottom of the "V" on the neck. O/S $350
